Larry Corthell owner of Nobles Imaging Lab

We are in the business of memories.

Preserve them to be cherished for years. Photos fade in frames; albums sit untouched. Tapes and films become unplayable without cameras, VCRs, or projectors. We convert photos, slides, tapes, and films to modern digital formats so memories can be easily relived and shared.

Meet the Founder

Larry Corthell

It began in 1983 when my high school science teacher, Mr. O’Meara, got me my first job at 14 at Nobles Camera in Hingham. I learned photography, darkroom work, lab operations, and sales, becoming certified in all formats. Warren Noble (founder, 1954) gave me my own store to manage — the rest is history.
His work ethic stayed with me.
When Noble’s closed, demand for photo scanning and Film & tape-to-USB conversion stayed strong. After 35+ years serving customers, I continued those services, upgrading the state-of-the-art equipment. With help from Lorrie and Michael Campbell at The Whitney Gordon’s Jewelers, customers Have a place drop off and pick up orders. I will also pickup and deliver to you.

Sincerely,
Larry Corthell

Preserve Your Memories with Someone You Can Trust

At Nobles Imaging Lab, we believe your memories deserve more than a quick scan—they deserve care, precision, and respect.

That’s why our work is rooted in trust.

Nobles Imaging Lab is owned and operated by Larry Corthell, a South Shore professional whose career has been built on relationships, integrity, and attention to detail.

Larry’s connection to this community runs deep. His family has been part of Hingham since the 1600s, spanning generations of individuals who have lived, worked, and built their lives right here on the South Shore.

Today, that same sense of responsibility carries into Nobles Imaging Lab.

We understand that when you hand over your old photos, slides, or home movies, you’re not just sharing media—you’re trusting someone with your family history. Moments that can’t be replaced. Stories that deserve to be preserved.

That’s why every project is handled with the same care and respect we would give our own family archives.

Whether you’re converting decades-old film to digital, preserving photographs, or organizing a lifetime of memories, our goal is simple:

To make the process easy—and to give you complete confidence that your memories are in the right hands.

Because for us, this isn’t just a service.

It’s personal.

Your childhood was captured on 3 minute reels of film that were shot, developed and shown on “movie night”. Your Dad shot slides of you growing up. He organized them in trays and slide cubes. They have spent the last 40 years in a cardboard box. Scan them, so you can share them and go back in time to remember all the vacations, holidays and special events in your life.
