Service Order Terms & Conditions

1. Services Provided

Nobles Imaging Lab ("we," "us") provides digitization services for your precious personal media, including film reels, photos, tapes, and audio recordings ("Materials"). By placing an order, you ("Buyer") agree to these terms. We will handle your media with care, organize it, and provide the final "Digitized Materials" via thumb drive, disc, or cloud storage.

2. Media Care & Quality

  • Our Commitment to Quality: We know that old tapes and film aren't always in perfect shape. If your media arrives unplayable or appears damaged, we will do our absolute best to stabilize and transfer it.

  • The Fragility of Memories: We understand that these materials are often decades old and can become quite fragile over time. Sometimes, the natural aging and decay of film or tape can make the digitization process delicate. While we promise to treat every reel and ribbon as if it were our own family history, we cannot be responsible for changes or damage that occur naturally due to the original condition or age of your media.

3. Ownership & Copyright

By submitting an order, you confirm that:

  • You own the copyright or have explicit permission to duplicate the Materials.

  • The Materials do not violate any laws.

  • To stay compliant with the law, we must report any illegal content discovered during the process to the proper authorities.

4. Our Quality Standards & Liability

  • Striving for Excellence: Our goal is to bring your memories back to life with the highest possible clarity. We use modern technology to try and improve the look and sound of every transfer; however, because analog media ages unpredictably, a "perfect" digital recreation isn't always possible. We provide our services based on the best results the original material allows.

  • Limit of Liability: We take our responsibility seriously, but to the extent permitted by law, Nobles Imaging Lab cannot be held liable for indirect, incidental, or emotional distress damages related to the loss or damage of your Materials.

5. Payment & Satisfaction

  • Our Satisfaction Guarantee: We believe in the quality of our work and your peace of mind. We don't ask for payment until your project is complete and we’ve ensured you are happy with the results. We strive for 100% satisfaction within the technical limits of your original media.

  • Pricing Accuracy: We do our best to ensure pricing is always accurate and transparent. In the rare event of a technical or typographical error, we will reach out to you immediately to provide the correct information and ensure we are on the same page before proceeding with your project.

6. Shipping Your Memories

We know how precious your memories are and want them to arrive safely.

  • Getting Them to Us: Since we do not control mail carriers (like FedEx or USPS), we recommend using a tracked service. We officially take responsibility for your items once they are safely in our hands at the lab.

  • Returning Them to You: Once we have finished our work and hand your package back to the carrier for return, the responsibility for the delivery shifts to the carrier.

  • Added-Safety Protection: For extra peace of mind, you can purchase a protection package. This provides limited coverage ($500 or $1,000) specifically for total package loss while in the carrier’s care. Please follow our packing guide closely, as this protection does not cover damage caused by improper packaging.

7. Local Drop-Off at Whitney Gordon’s Jewelers

We are incredibly grateful to our friends, Lorri and Mike Campbell, for allowing Nobles Imaging Lab to use Whitney Gordon’s Jewelers as a convenient local touchpoint for our customers.

  • Transfer of Care: Your materials are kept in a designated secure area at the shop. Nobles Imaging Lab officially takes over the care and handling of your items once we arrive for our scheduled pickups.

  • Direct Support: To let the jewelry store team focus on their beautiful work, please reach out to us directly at Nobles Imaging Lab with any questions regarding your digitization project.
